Performer, choreographer, educator, and published author Rachna Ramya Agrawal is a member of the International Dance Council CID, the recipient of the "2020/2021 Distinguished Achievement in Dance Award, awarded by the Connecticut Dance Alliance and "The Vision Award, 2021" awarded by Charter Oak Cultural Center, CT. She has studied the Lucknow style of Kathak under Smt. Maya Rao and the Jaipur style of Kathak under Guru Rajendra Gangani, both recipients of the Sangeet Natak Academy award. Rachna received a Master's degree in dance from the prestigious Pracheen Kala Kendra in India. She also trained in choreography at the Natya Institute of Choreography in New Delhi, India. Rachna is listed as a teaching artist in the "The CT Office of the Arts" and "Arts for Learning" teaching artists directories. She is also a visiting lecturer on the teaching faculty at Trinity College in Hartford. Furthermore, Rachna published a Hindi novel titled "Digbhramit." Aishwarya Chakravarthy, a performer, choreographer and Instructor of Bharathanatyam, is a member of the International Dance Council, CID. She had her initial training at Shivanjali, Chennai and moved to Koothambalam to continue her journey under the tutelage of Guru Sri Aravindan and Smt. Vasantha Aravindan. Aishwarya was a regular performer at various music and dance festivals in India from 2000 to 2008 before moving to the USA. Aishwarya is currently pursuing her Bharathanatyam training under the guidance of Kalaimamani Smt.Roja Kannan. She is also learning Mohiniyattam from her guru, Kala Acharya Smt. Vasantha Aravindan. Aishwarya founded Natyakshetram Bharathanatyam Dance School in 2015 has been training several aspiring students since then. To her credit, Aishwarya has received dance scholarships from the Govt. of India (CCRT), Govt. of Tamil Nadu, two record participation credits from the Guinness Book of World Records and the title "Natya Jyothi" awarded from Koothambalam for her continued contribution to the art form.
